International relations
This week, the Tourism Academy in Antalya welcomed a working visit from a delegation of one of Uzbekistan’s leading universities — Tashkent State University of Economics. The visit was part of a strategic initiative to strengthen international academic collaboration in the fields of tourism and hospitality.
The delegation included the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Nozima Zufarova, as well as professors Alisher Eshtaev and Sayyora Safaeva. As part of their comprehensive program in Antalya, an official meeting was held with the leadership of the Tourism Academy, during which key areas of future collaboration between the two institutions were discussed.
The discussions placed particular emphasis on the prospects for joint training of tourism professionals, the exchange of teaching methodologies, and educational models adapted to international standards. One of the priority areas was exploring the possibility of launching dual-degree programs, allowing students to study in both Uzbekistan and Turkey and receive diplomas from both partner universities.

The topic of academic exchange was also addressed, including internships, practical training, and joint student projects, as well as faculty visits, research seminars, and participation in international conferences. Both universities expressed their willingness to develop joint research initiatives in sustainable tourism, digital technologies in the hospitality industry, and cross-border educational collaboration.

During the meeting, the delegation toured the Tourism Academy campus, familiarized themselves with the educational infrastructure, housing facilities for international students, and the current training programs for tourism sector professionals.

The Tourism Academy sincerely thanks the representatives of Tashkent State University of Economics for their visit, constructive dialogue, and interest in partnership. We are confident that collaboration between Antalya and Tashkent will open new opportunities for students in both countries and make a significant contribution to the preparation of highly qualified professionals for the global tourism market.
