The Academy of Tourism in Antalya signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan

October 27, 2017 the delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan attended the Academy of Tourism in Antalya with an official visit. The delegation included the director of the Republican Center for the Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in Tourism under the State Committee for the Development of Tourism Elena Golysheva, and the director of the Center for the Certification of Tourist Services under the State Committee for the Development of Tourism Islomov Nuriddin Nurkuvvatovich.

During the meeting, the Memorandum on cooperation in the educational sphere was signed between the Academy of Tourism in Antalya and the Republican Center for Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel in Tourism. Joint work with the aim of improving the quality of education provides the implementation of programs of exchange students and faculty, organize internships and refresher courses, implement joint international scientific educational and practical projects, etc.

During the talks, the parties discussed the possibility of opening a branch of the Academy of Tourism in Uzbekistan, where the tourism industry is developing and has great prospects. This is evidenced by the increasing number of tourists from every day from America, Europe and Asia. Unique monuments of architecture in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva) have been preserved to this day almost in their original form: the Gur-Emir mausoleum, the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis, the Kalyan minaret and others.

As the rector of the Academy of Tourism in Antalya Zafer Bikkenoglu noted, the signing of the Memorandum on Cooperation in the field of education promotes the development of hotel business and hospitality, the strengthening of comprehensive ties between educational institutions, and is the basis for training highly qualified personnel for foreign economic relations of the two countries.
